Dear Park Ranger,

As we know, pythons are not native to the state of Florida, they were domesticated pets that were released into the wildlife after their owners could no longer take care of them. As a result, the python population adapted to the Florida environment and it decimated the native animal population found in the wetlands such as birds and other mammals. In some cases, pythons grow large enough to eat alligators.  

It is important to control the Burmese python population because if their numbers keep growing, eventually the Everglades native wildlife could go endangered or extinct if this continues to be a problem.

I’m happy to inform you that I’ve concluded my research for current methods used to control Burmese Pythons.  The good news is that there are options available to your organization that we can review.
