Explanation:

Time: This is because it is specifically telling you a time and what year the event had happened, or hinting that something had happened previously of after.

Cause and Effect: These are words that can be used in passages and hint in what may have caused the event and what the after/result of it was. It interchanges the roles so that the reader can better understand the text.
