What is the background information of the problem of No Child Left Behind Act of 2001

'No Child Left Behind Act of 2001'(NCLB) was passed with the aim to offer equal learning and educational opportunities to the poor and disadvantaged kids and ensure their academic progress. However, the act was helpful for offering quality education and academic content to the underprivileged yet the key problem associated with NCLB is the entire focus being devoted to the test scores instead of instilling learning and this has eventually led to the lowering of the graduation rate and lowering of the number of students going to college. The tests conducted on the basis of insufficient material leading to this failure of the act.
