According to the article, "Watch Out- Cell Phones Can Be Addictive", by Kathiann Kowalski, he highlighted the dangers that youths are prone to and one of them is the addiction to their devices. Dr. James Robert said that most people become apprehensive when they lose their phones or when the battery goes low.

Kowalski highlighted the social cost that can arise from this addiction. This includes the fact that people's normal activities are interfered with because of the addiction. Conflicts also arise with family members because of the divided attention that comes with addictive phone use.
