How nationalism can lead to hatred of others

If history is to teach us anything go ahead and take a look at the fascist reign of Hitler during WW2. It was a political campaign based on the belief that Germans, blue eyed, blonde, white, are the superior race and that everything else can basically go jump in a hole. This is an example of racism and nationalism, you see nationalism and racism hold a close relationship that can be twisted, poked, prodded, and bent in many ways. Hint: Take a look at modern day USA

Another example is Japan(WW2 Era), they believed that Japanese people were the superior race and that ultimately led to the battles in the Pacific between the US and Japan.
