A fairy godmother appears and transforms Cinderella's rags into a
gown. She also turns a pumpkin into a carriage to take Cinderella to
the ball. At midnight, however, the gown and carriage will turn back into
rags and a pumpkin. Cinderella goes to the ball and dances with the
prince, who falls in love with her. But Cinderella runs out of the palace
just before the stroke of midnight, leaving behind a glass slipper.
The prince travels the kingdom in search of the woman who fits the
