Into The Wild: By Jon Krakauer; Chapters 1-4 Reflection Chapters 1 and 2 describe the end of Chris’ life: how Chris got to the “Stampede Trail” and how his body was found there. Then, chapters 3 and 4 jump back to the beginning of his journey two years earlier, when he graduated from college and headed West.

Why does the author use this style of storytelling? In other words, why do you think he starts at the end of the story, then goes back to the beginning?
