existing lakes. In addition, many lakes are no longer freezing in the winter, which means that habitats are changing and
animals are moving farther north. Of course, the animals living in the Arctic Circle don't have many options ocean is the
only thing north of them. What is causing the thawing of the tundra? Based on the speedy rate and massive reach of the
changes, some scientists say it can't be regional climate variation. They blame global warming.
