Reversal and recognition is a literary concept that occurs when a situation is developing in one way and then reverses due to a change, suffering, realization, etc. The idea of reversal and recognition can also relate to characters who go through some sort of transformation from the beginning to the end of a story.

Prompt: Explain how reversal and recognition occur in a piece of literature of your choice. You may choose a particular character, plot element, or situation. Your writing should be an extended paragraph with a minimum of 8 sentences.
