With kindness, treat them with respect don’t be rude. if you feel like it, explain the situation to them but don’t force your feelings into them ect.

It is best to first acknowledge the other persons boundaries. Not everyone handles conflict in the same manner as you, which is something you need to put into mind first. People will have a variety of ways of coping with how to deal with situation, thus making it a bit complex for the encounter. Regard their emotions and their feelings first and do not expect them to return your expected or ideal response. It’s unrealistic as some others can not recover as well as others, but to heal yourself you need to be the bigger person and calmly address them. They will remember how you treat and regard them.
