WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO: Choose a movie, videogame's campaign, book, anime, TV show eppisode, or cartoon eppisode and CITE 3 QUOTES that show the plot (story) being pushed by dialogue. Follow the RACE formula from your notes. Repeat this THREE times. one time per quote. explain each one in as much detail as possible. ONE PAGE LONG, DUE SUNDAY BEFORE MIDNIGHT. "quote" then three sentences explaining why this quote matters. Then repeat process again. Here is an example for you: In the movie Mulan we see a doughter take her father's place in a war to ensure he does not get hurt. She tells him he is too old to fight but he refuses to listen. When do we first see proof of this? Well, our first example is when they sit down for dinner on the rainy night. For example, Mulan declares, "You shouldn't have to go. There are plenty of young men to fight for China." This shows that she still wants her father to avoid the war. She tries to convince him of that by reminding him that there are many others who could take his place. this shows how much she cares about his safety. (THEN TRY AND CONNECT THIS TO THE NEXT ONE BY PLACING A SENTENCE THAT RELATES TO THE NEXT BIG EVEN IN THE STORY ) Remember: All the information you need is on the NEW THURSDAY file on Schoology, found in the file for this week. The Formating Quotes (slide 11 and 12) is the how you will write it on the paper. Follow the examples given in the slides 10 points total. 5 points for following the RACE method and writing it in the correct format 3 points for how well your quotes and explenations prove that they push the plot (story) forward. 2 points for how long what your write is. Remember, try and make it go past the 1/2 page marker. Try to make it a FULL PAGE. (please i need help)
