(Pleas help me I got until tomorrow at 9:00 in the morning) PLEASE HELP A mouse, who always lived on the land, by an unlucky chance, formed a close friendship with a frog, who
lived, for the most part, in the water.
One day, the frog wanted to cause trouble. He tied the foot of the mouse tightly to his own. Thus joined
together, the frog led his friend the mouse to the meadow where they usually searched for food After this, he
gradually led him towards the pond in which he lived, until reaching the banks of the water, he suddenly jumped
in, dragging the mouse with him.
The frog enjoyed the water amazingly, and swam croaking about, as if he had done a good deed. The
unhappy mouse was soon sputtered and drowned in the water, and his poor dead body floating about on the
surface. Whawk observed the floating mouse from the sky, and dove down and grabbed it with his talons, carrying
it back to his nest. The frog, being still fastened to the leg of the mouse, was also carried off a prisoner, and was
eaten by the hawk.

1) it introduces the mouse on land with directly telling readers a mouse had unfortunationly made a misake of friending the frog, who lived in the water.

2) The shocking conflict and event of the frog tieing the foot of mouse to it's own to search for food but this soon will be a big mistake.

3) the frog without consent of the mouse jumped in the water, drowning and killing the poor mouse.

4) the hawk witnessing the murder to then do a good deed.

5)the hawk as an unconscious act of avengement kills the frog

the answer:

in the first part of the story running is all that matters to squeaky. running gives her confidence and defines who she is. at the beginning of the story she says that other kids call her mercury because she runs very fast. in the text she refers to herself as "miss quicksilver".

the line that provides the best evidence that squeaky has self-confidence is

" and i continue with my breathing exercise, strolling down broadway toward the ice cream man on 145th with not a care in the world cause i am miss quicksilver herself".

quite an interesting way to teach topic sentences, because the answer to this question is the best definition of a topic sentence that one can present, it is as if answering the questions taught you how to do it, this is some real teaching, it is terribly well-done.

which incidentally tells you what a topic sentence should be.
