For Emerson, a hero must be someone of great strength and with an impressive warrior nature. These characteristics make the hero achieve gradual conquests, that he must be proud and boast of what he managed to do with his own hands. Beowulf fits this concept completely, as he was able to defeat the monster Grendel and his mother, with none of the greatest D4n1sh warriors having succeeded. Beowulf, achieved this victory because of his strength, dexterity, warrior nature and agility, making him earn honor, gifts, wealth and admiration, which he gladly accepted while bragging and telling how he won this arduous battle.

Although Beowulf is a great example of a hero, we cannot fail to recognize heroes in our real life, who overcome extremely difficult and monstrous situations. About this, I can say that my mother is someone who fits the concept of hero behaved by Emerson. That's because my mother managed to leave an extremely poor childhood to be a successful entrepreneur. She loves to tell and to be proud of all her difficult but victorious trajectory.
