Adorned in jewels and perfectly sculpted high heels, Ella Bountiful appeared ravishing in her vibrant auburn evening gown. Only
minutes before, she had exited the pool at her country estate, even though
her husband, Walter, had asked her to stay in the water with him while he
continued to swim and enjoy the warm summer evening. He wasn’t a
strong swimmer, so he preferred having someone with him in the pool,
just in case ...
Ella’s quick exit from the water caught him off guard; she had to
get ready for the party to be held that evening at the home of her best
friend, Scarlett Homecoming. Since Walter was not planning on leaving
for the party until 8:00 PM, he did not want her to leave. They argued
until Ella departed for the party at 7:30 PM sharp, where she deeply
enjoyed her time with good friends and fun conversation.
She left the party at exactly 10:30 PM, after inviting a few of her
closest friends, Liam and Lexie, back to her home for a game of cards.
After walking around the corner and down the street to get their car,
Liam and Lexie arrived at the Bountiful home about fifteen minutes after
Ella.
As they walked up the path leading to the large, heavy oak front
door to the Bountiful home, the pool area lay on their left. Before Liam
and Lexie got within 15 feet of this door, they heard a loud and frantic
commotion emanating from the pool area. The pool was surrounded by a
wall of ferns and hedges eight feet high. The two scurried to find an entry
point, and when they finally found a way in, they saw Ella, standing near
Walter who was lying helpless facedown on the cold concrete.
Upon seeing her friends, Ella called out, “Hurry, come quick.
When I got home, I heard a splash from the pool. I raced out to find
Walter at the bottom of the deep end. I pulled him out and tried to give
him CPR, but he’s still not breathing! Call the police immediately!”
Lexie called 9-1-1 on her cell phone as Liam and Ella tried to
revive Walter. However, it was too late. The ambulance was there in a
matter of minutes, followed by a police car and a fire truck. These first
responders began to question the three adults as to what happened, when,
and who might be involved. write a 3 paragraph essay to who is the murder.
