symmetric, a smooth black hole forms. On the other
hand, even a slightly lopsided collapse leads to a lumpy
black hole, with erratic gravitational effects. The gravity
might be strong in some places and weak in others, and
pull in different directions. However, a lumpy hole won't
stay lumpy for long, because its own gravity will work to
smooth it out
