The both poem make use of imagery of the past but the imagery used in both poem is not similar to each other because in the Rain on the Roof the poem was talking about how caring is mother was where as in the Road not taken the poem was taking about regret and sadness because the Road not taken was taking about how he intend to travelled on a road that was not been mostly used by people because he was trying to distinguish him self from the rest of the world which in turn lead to regret , sorrow and sadness for him.
