Some people embody the concept of "tough love." In Of Mice and
Men, the main character George is such a person. Throughout
this famous novel by John Steinbeck, George takes care of
Lennie, an intellectually disabled man, as the two travel
throughout California working as farm hands. Much to George's
distress, well-
meaning Lennie often gets them in trouble.
Through the events of the novel and the interactions between
these two characters, we get to know George's character traits.
