But now people are less interested in poetry literature. The possibilities of such little exposure most likely can be the evolution of other forms of literature. Other forms of literature that have emerged are more simple to understand in comparison to poems. New forms of literature such as fiction, critical essays, etc tend to please our boiling mind.

So, the possible reason that people now are less interested in poetry because poems are intricated form of literature compared to other forms of literature that has emerged.
