Read the excerpt from act 2 scene 5 of Romeo and Juliet. Which pair of words from the excerpt is an oxymoron?

In this scene Laurence says

"These violent delights have violent ends,

And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,

Which, as they kiss consume: the sweetest honey

Is loathsome in his own deliciousness

And in the taste confounds the appetite:

Therefore love moderately; long love doth so;

Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow."

This creates a serious mood in the play, the words violent delight create an oxymoron.  Violent delights creates an oxymoron because violent is not normally associated with delight which is normally happy.
