Often, for summer reading in English classes, teachers will allow students to pick the book which they would like to read. This amazing opportunity should not be squandered by choosing the wrong book. Students should take advantage and choose a book. On the one hand, students could choose a book that simply pleases and not learn anything from it, or a student could choose a book that is too much of a challenge and detest every page of the story. A perfect balance between pleasure and challenge is needed in order for summer reading to be a truly effective and educational experience. Which revision of the third sentence of this brief passage would best improve its coherence and clarity?
