Daisy on the other hand continues to struggle with bullying without anybody to help, ("cough. cough." reminds me of school 22. "cough. cough", no disrespect though"). "The three girls screamed and backed away, but Muffin came after them, snarling, biting, until they scattered and ran." (Paragraph 65). After Muffin came to the rescue of Daisy and her bullying, Daisy returns the faovr. "Mum, I have a friend, he’s been bombed out, please can he stay?” (Paragraph 71). Daisy in turn rescues Muffin from his trama and suffering by becoming the owner and family of Muffin.
