The paragraph is explaining what José and his team have been doing to prepare for the walk. The last four sentences are all about their preparations. It would be a fitting end to the paragraph to mention their plan and wrap the story up nicely.

no its not a run on sentence however i think you meant wet suits not sours also a run on sentence would be like surfers surf all winter long in southern california by using wet sours to keep them warm and the live their all year long  

i think one answer could be this poet uses no rhyme.
