1. Their age. Members of Generation X were born between 1965 and 1979, so are between 40 and 55 years old. Millennials, or Generation Y were born between 1980 and 1994, so are between 25 and 40 years old.

2. Generation X people are less inclined to use technology than Millennials, as Millennials were born during the explosion of use of technology, when it became accessible to everyone. Generation X is more likely to use newspapers, magazines, and the radio, while Millennials are more comfortable with mobile devices and social media.

3. Their stages in life are different. While Generation X is raising a family, taking care of their parents, and making a retirement plan for the future, Millennials are relatively new to the workforce, and need to pay off things like student loans, so are less likely to make large purchases.
