Which paragraph would best set the mood for a story about three friends who are camping in the haunted woods?
We unpacked our gear, whistling the entire time to raise our spirits. We had packed a wide variety of food, and we looked
forward to eating it for dinner. I unpacked my fishing pole and set off for the local pond to catch our main course. After our
long hike, we were very hungry.
We slowly unpacked our gear and set up our tents. The sun was slowly setting in the west, and we saw a line of pink-
tinted clouds through the trees. I finished staking the tent. Soon we would start a campfire, if the wood wasn't too wet from
the recent rains
With trembling fingers, we slowly unpacked our gear. The woods seemed unusually quiet. There were no animal noises,
no twittering of birds or scurrying of animals, only a dead, dull silence. The surrounding woods were strangely watchful, as
if the gloomy trees were waiting for us to fall asleep.
Slowly and carefully, we unpacked our gear and began to set up camp. First, we unrolled the tents and set them up near a
cluster of dark boulders. We set out the food we would need for dinner and, ever mindful of bears, put the rest in a bag that
we hung from a tree. A cool breeze blew and made the surrounding pines sigh
