What was the irony that krakauer points out about McCnadless's idea that he was "lost in the wild" (165)? He was not surrounded by the wilderness like he thought. What does McCandless regreatfully call "one of the greatest tragedies" of his life? Shooting and killing a moose that he didn't get much out of the meat.
