"The truck had pulled up almost against the building, way up on the sidewalk. In our diagonal view, we could still see the doors to the building. Suddenly the door opened, and I saw our friends in a bunch, each carrying a little something, going right from the door into the truck. Because I was across the canal I could hardly see their faces. I could see that Koophuis and Kraler were with them. There were two men not in uniform escorting the group. They put the prisoners into the back of the truck and went around to the front and got in. I did not know for sure if you were with them."
