The lines reveal Anne's happy personality and curiosity as a young girl of her age. It showed that even if she was about to go downstairs while inspecting her new home, the sound of the Westertoren amazed her. And even though the reason for moving to the place was meant for hiding, Anne felt excited touring and investigating the place.
