In 75-100 words , describe the mood evokes by the ending of “Marigolds”. How does the author evoke the mood?

The author evoked the mood of "Marigolds" by showing how Elizabeth being one of the main characters changes throughout the story. At first, Elizabeth was childish and only cared about herself. Than, awhile after her being rude to everyone around her especially Ms. Lottie she realized what her actions were doing to the people around her. She seen that Ms. Lottie didn't really have anybody. She didn't have a boyfriend or a lot of friends she only had her marigolds. She grew her marigolds herself and when Elizabeth got mad at her father for saying they needed to bring in extra money in order to survive so her father was going to leave town and work and Elizabeth got mad her emotions kicked in she was sad, mad and disappointed she didn't realize what she was doing but at the same time she didn't care either. She knew Ms. Lottie wouldn't defend herself so she goes and attacks her to bring Ms. Lottie down cause it makes her feel better about herself. When she went to Ms. Lottie's house she destroyed Ms. Lottie's entire garden that she has worked so hard on. When she turned around and seen Ms. Lottie sad and wanting to cry she realized what she did was wrong. She  regretted it and wish should repay her.
