The Call of The Wild is about a dog named Buck who is a domesticated dog. However, Buck gets kidnapped and is sold to a couple of bad men. The moment he steps of the boat and into the cold North, Buck's friend Curly dies and this ignites Buck's wild side. After a while, Buck becomes a sled dog, and he is put in the back of the sled. Spitz, the lead dog, and also a nemesis of Buck, tries to kill Buck multiple times. However, Buck tries to kill him after he is getting annoyed and succeeds. After he killed Spitz, Buck thought that he deserved to be the lead dog and took Spitz's place. The main theme of Call of the Wild is "Club v.s Fang". Also, in the wild, it's either kill or be killed. Jack London and Charles Darwin did an excellent job of displaying this rule and they deserve the credit. Buck learns throughout the story that "Survival of the Fittest" is an important rule he must follow by. I think that in the end, Buck becomes free of the cruelness of man and spends the rest of his days out in the wild.
