An essay with graphics is better to understand the problem of hunger worldwide. Because the writer can better show details of each country, timetable and  if numbers of deaths due to hungry decreased or not.

On the other hand, writing a poem could be helpful telling through the rhymes and figurative languages the reality of hungry in the whole world showing the sadness and poverty of specific populations.

Both methods can be used. In my opinion an essay is easier to write and to understand.

Through the poem the author will be able to report a criticism about hunger in America in a milder way. This is because the author will be able to make use of this time so heavy and sad and write a poem in a satirical way and with good humor to make a rational criticism of the government's negligence in solving this problem. On the other hand, the poem does not present scientific data crediting the author's words, which can leave the poem with a not-so-impacting message.

In an essay with graphics, the author will have the advantage of arguing through facts. He will be able to use the graphics to show that the information given in his essay is vesdadedas and shows the real situation of the people who are hungry and neglect of the government with these people. However, the essay with graphs, does not allow the insertion of a figurative language that gives a certain relief to the reader who may get a little tired and may still not understand the graphs.
