animals and plants are affected by water pollution. one way they are affected is when there is so much pollution in the water that the oxygen is very low so this makes it almost impossible for the fish and plants to live this suffocates them and they died because of the lack of oxygen , this can also affect other animals because of the food chain.(“technological solutions, ink”1)the way that food chain affects animals is that animals could eat a dead animal that died because of the pollution of water causing him to consume some of the chemicals that the other animal was infected with, for example a fish living in polluted water gets infected for all the chemicals in the water then a bigger fish eat smaller fish causing the bigger fish to eat part of the pollution and die then birds or other animals start eating the fish so they get polluted too and probably died.
