In at least 150 words, describe the main contradiction inherent in both the declaration of independence and the bill of rights at the time they were written.

The principal contradiction is that belief that people hold in their minds that all men are equal despite their different statuses. Besides that, it is believed that men have the inalienable opportunity to life and liberty in reading to one another happiness.

However, this is not a contradictory statement; however, it becomes contradicting in the light of the American community where slavery is highly valued. Ultimately it is different from concluding all men are equal and have a right to line a life they wish.
