The best president in the history of the United States was, without a doubt, George Washington.

Washington was the first president of the nation, for two periods, from 1789 to 1797. Within his term, his greatest achievements were the consolidation of the United States as an independent and sovereign republic in front of European powers such as Great Britain and France, the consolidation of the Constitution as the country's fundamental norm, and the adoption of certain political positions that guided the country during decades.

He had previously established himself as a national hero for his performance during the War of Independence as commander of the Continental Army, so he did not need a relevant position to exalt his figure. This shows that he reached his position without lucrative or selfish spirit: his main intention was to collaborate with his country. So much so that even when he left his post, his Farewell Address sought to be a message for posterity, in which he sought to make clear his positions on different topics to collaborate with the future development of the United States of America.
