How does this excerpt support the idea that the story is told by an unreliable narrator?

The narrator does not trust what Agnus has told her.

This shows that the narrator trust what she has seen and does not believe it is a something her imagination created. She believes that Agnus is lying to her about the woman since many times visitors are frowned upon. The narrator supposed that "the servants wanted it kept secret." We don't have any indication that the narrator wants to meet the servants' visiting friends. The narrator also tells us that Mrs. Brympton does not have a nurse so the last option is incorrect.
