Before this though, they come towards a gate, and Virgil explains to Dante what this door means and also what can be seen inside. As part of what is noted, there is an inscription on the door, and the first part of it reads: "Justice moved my Master-Builder: Heavenly power first fashioned me with highest wisdom and with primal love."
