Texting while driving is a dangerous action that has cost too many lives. for instance, text messaging makes a crash twenty-three times more likely to happen. in addition, teens who text and drive spend ten percent of their driving time outside their lane. despite this, seventy-seven percent of people believe that they can safely text while driving. the truth is that 13% of drivers ages 18 to 20 who were involved in a car wreck admitted to using their mobile device at the time of the crash. moving forward, drivers must not be a part of the problem, but instead be a part of the solution.
