The book t's Our World, Too!: Young People Who Are Making a Difference. By Phillip Hoose is history and a handbook, the book is both inspirational and engaging. The book promotes the idea of taking a stand against injustice or otherwise longing to make a difference. The book portraits the doings of a dozen children and teens of both sexes from a variety of ethnic backgrounds who had the courage to act on their convictions. Among the most important and inspirational stories are the ones from 12-year-old Norvell Smith, who stood up to gang pressure at her inner-city school; Justin Lebo, who at age 10 began using his allowance to buy and rebuild junker bicycles, and then give them away to needy children; and 15-year-old Joel Rubin, who, in protest of drift net fishing practices, spearheaded a boycott of a major corporation that resulted in “dolphin safe” tuna. Other youths here have taken on city hall, saved wetlands from developers and spoken out against war.

one reason summer auggie is because she is kind, and the whole "boy war" between jack will and julian was probaly thinking her to be on auggies sode and if you read auggie and me,   she was nice to auggie because julian was mean and auggie needed some freinds. hope this
