Rukmany has this idea of making a living in a peaceful way, too. She was not so willing to ask for help. His friend Kenny who was a doctor that helped to have children kept saying that poor people should shout out loud when they needed help.

Ghandi started his fight for independence and in his speech he said that he deliberately wanted to do what he did and he didn't regret anything of what he did. In this aspect Ghandi was a little bit different than Rukmani because he saw the reality of his country and he thought about drawing the attention of the media and powerful people that can help in achieving his cause. Rukmani was more into making her family survive.
