Read this writing prompt. write an argumentative essay about whether it is better to tell the truth, even if it will hurt someone's feelings, or to tell a lie to keep from hurting someone. based on the prompt, which claim is the strongest? one time, i lied to my best friend about going out with another friend because i thought she would be jealous. why do people feel like they have to lie just because they are afraid that people will get mad at them for telling the truth? it is hard to tell whether someone is telling the truth or lying to you just to protect your feelings. telling the truth is always the best option, even if someone will be hurt as a consequence.
