I think whoever said/wrote this was really religious. He has strong faith in God and really believes in him, that he is almighty and really wise. He portrays him, as many do, as someone who should be praised, worshipped, and loved, which many do as well, and also says it in a way of subtly saying 'You should worship him too'.
