Ineed a ! read this excerpt from president barack obama's back to school speech: and no matter what grade you're in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer, and you could've stayed in bed just a little longer this morning. i know that feeling. when i was young, my family lived overseas. i lived in indonesia for a few years. and my mother, she didn't have the money to send me where all the american kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an american education. so she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, monday through friday. but because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4: 30 in the morning. what is the main idea of this excerpt? a. the speaker understands that many students wish they did not have to work so hard. b. students who wish they could sleep late should be grateful they do not have to get up even earlier. c. people who gain experience overseas have a greater chance at success. d. most people, even adults, get less sleep than their body needs to maintain good health.

Read the following poem carefully, and then answer the questions that follow. sonnet 73 by william shakespeare that time of year thou mayst in me behold when yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang upon those boughs which shake against the cold, bare ruin'd choirs, where late the sweet birds sang. in me thou seest the twilight of such day as after sunset fadeth in the west, which by and by black night doth take away, death's second self, that seals up all in rest. in me thou see'st the glowing of such fire that on the ashes of his youth doth lie, as the death-bed whereon it must expire consumed with that which it was nourish'd by. this thou perceivest, which makes thy love more strong, to love that well which thou must leave ere long. comprehension what seasonal images do you see in this poem? how do these images contribute to the poem's tone of loss and sadness?
