in your journal write the lecture you’ve planned for someone—real or imagined—aimed at getting them to improve or change something. include details to support your opinion and details to address their objections or concerns. your response should be at least 100 words.

Pick a topic to use for your persuasive lecture. For my example, I'll pick eating healthy foods.  

Think of reasons why you want them to change their eating habits. How do they benefit from this? (Ex: clearer skin, have more  energy to play sports, look and feel healthier, prevent diseases, etc)

Now, think of reasons they would would go against it and find solutions for it.  

Ex:  

If they think they do not like healthy food, mention the wide variety and the targeted audience can see that healthy eating is much more than a couple of vegetables they don't like.

They may also be concerned about not being able to eat the unhealthy foods that they normally enjoy. You can point out that those are still okay if eaten occassionally.

for this, you need to remember something significant in your own life, for example, if you were bullied when you were younger, you can mention your memories on this and touch on how such treatment can harm other kids your age either physically or mentally. (racism, car crashes, a parent in the hospital are all very good subjects, think hard on it! )
