Why did washington’s stature as a leader increase after he selected valley forge as the location for his army's winter camp?

The maintenance of a high moral in any army is a critical factor for its performance. At the moment that Washington selected Valley Forge as the location for his army's winter camp; his army was not equally trained and not well equipped as the British were. So selecting that location made easier for Washington's army to keep a good supply source, a shelter for extreme winter conditions and also a close location from British lines in order to make and prevent incursions.  

well stockyards mean a large yard containing pens and sheds, typically adjacent to a slaughterhouse, in which livestock is kept and sorted. and i'm assuming that by party you   mean a large group of people which does make sense because chicago is a very crowded place much like new york. stockyards tend to take up a lot of room due to needing the area for pens to keep animals in and the fact that stockyards are usually right by slaughterhouse where they process and distribute the product. so its much like a zoo but with some dead animal products close by.
