Analyze why does lewis share his personal experiences at the beginning of the speech? how does this part of the speech affect his credibility?

Lewis shares his personal experience to show that even people like him a successful person honestly just was lucky. It kind of just shows his experience and sometimes things can happen when you aren’t expecting anything.

getting ready for work:

i sit up in bed, the time is 6: 15.

i go in the bathroom and take a long hot shower and brush my teeth.

i get dressed then grab my keys and open the door, then i realize it is raining so i go back   and get an umbrella.

when i get in my car it has very little gas and right when i get there my car runs out of gas.

when i get inside i am fired for being late.
