A salt solution is prepared in a graduated cylinder using 400 g NaCl and 1000 g water at 20 °C. Solubility of NaCl at 20 °C is 357 g NaCI/1000 water then some NaCl precipitates at the bottom of the cylinder. The density of the saturated solution is 1.2 g/ml. The diameter of the graduated cylinder is 5cm. What should be height of the cylinder. Determine concentration profile of NaCl in the cylinder from the bottom to the surface of the solution versus time.
