The cylindrical stack (chimney) of an incinerator must be designed so that the ash particles produced upon combustion settle. Stack gases of density 0.5 kg/m3, h = 5 x 10-5 Pa*s rise through a stack 1 m in diameter. If the ash particles are 5 mm spheres with
density 2000 kg/m3, what is the maximum possible upward mass flow rate of the gases such that the particles don't rise?
What is Rep? Assume the particles are isolated.
