The building envelope of a glass skyscraper has an intricate system designed to limit thermal transfer, prevent air leakage, and repel moisture. Why would it require such complex design work compared to a structure with vinyl siding?
Buildings with vinyl siding are generally small enough that they do not need to be weatherized.
Glass has the lowest moisture resistance of any building material.
Structures with vinyl siding do not need to have a building envelope.
Traditional fiberglass insulation cannot be used with a transparent envelope.

Air flows over a heated plate à t a velocity of 50m/s. the local skin factor coefficient at a point on a plate is 0.004. estimate the local heat transfer coefficient at this point.the following property data for air are given: density = 0.88kg/m3 , viscosity 2.286 x 10 ^-5 kgm/s , k = 0.035w/mk ,cp = 1.001kj/kgk. use colburn reynolds analogy.
