A lagoon (1000 m3) is accepting 1 m3/s wastewater stream with a pollutant concentration of 100 g/m3. This lagoon has another 0.5 m3/s influent from adjacent river that has no pollutant. 50% of pollutants are biologically removed in the lagoon. To prevent overloading the lagoon, the operator decided to bypass 10% of wastewater flow and have it mixed with effluent (Q3 and C3). Calculate Q3 in L/s and C3 in g/m3. Show all your calculations for partial credit. Assumptions) Complete mixing, Pollutant is non-conservative. (*Answer in whole number only, No unit)
