Imagine you’ve just had a container of televisions shipped to Los Angeles from Japan via ocean liner. You need to get the shipment to a distribution center in New York. How do you do this? Truck all the way? Rail? Air? How would you transport the shipment and why? In this assignment you will create a storyboard that depicts your containers’ journey from Japan to the distribution center in New York. You will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each of the shipping methods discussed in this lesson in order to determine the best shipping method for your containers. Your storyboard should consist of multiple modes of transportation. For each leg of the journey, you will map out a realistic route for your cargo based on existing waterways, railroads, roads or airplane flight paths.
