Consider that a hydraulic jump forms right downstream of a sluice gate(see Fig. 10.5 in the book). If the depth upstream the gate yupstream=10 ft, and all losses are neglected except the dissipation in the jump, please calculate the water depth right after the gate. If this depth is the super-critical depth of the jump, please calculate the sub-critical water depth of the jump for a specific discharge of 20 ft3/s.
